Hogue was the first wine I ever bought a case of. I was about 29 and mostly a beer drinker, so didn't know wine, but a neighbor turned me onto Hogue Merlot. Not sure I would like it now. I'm well out of my 20s, 30s and even 40s. I'm with you on the screw caps... haven't tasted a really god screw cap yet. I'm also with you on the Shiraz... it should have a mouth full of flavor!
