What is it about Sam’s? You go in there for a necessity like bulk cheese curls, then wait in a long line to walk out with a cart full of items that you just “had to have” . Just the same, this week we went “Sam’s Diving” looking for new wines for our Quests. Picked up a couple of interesting Cabernets for TEN BUCKS! (That’s the goal…remember…) and also a “Green Wine” made from organic grapes. I’ve got to try this one first.
By the way…wonder which has better Quest material, Trader Joes or Sams? I probably should put a poll out.

Short post today. After I get the lawn looking like a civilized family lives here (or if it rains) I can open this one up and give it a try. So the wine oaf is going to spread fertilizer and weed killer, then put some carbons into the air by mowing the lawn and then kick back and enjoy a green wine. Hmmmm
Cheers

I would say Trader Joe’s for deals on wine, but it seems like the guys there point us to the wrong wines. They do carry Slug Gulsh Red from Oakstone. It’s a pretty good blend that varies year to year depending on what extra grapes they have to blend. And it’s got a great label. Target’s sale wines have worked out well for us. Like you, I couldn’ resist when I saw Dynamite Merlot on sale for $5.98> I almost never drink merlot, but it was better than the $10 Pinot Noir the Trader Joe’s guy suggested to my wife. SO… Trader Joe’s if you trust your own judgement.

Agreed. I am 100% agnostic when it comes to wine deals. I have trouble though asking Traders Joe’s team for feedback. I mean…when is the last time you got good advice from a guy wearing a Hawaiian Shirt? Where do you find good deals ONLINE?? I have found some cool stuff on wine.woot. You?
