“Coupled with a deep ruby-purple color, the aroma for the 2005 has a very distinctive blackberry component that is layered with hints of clove and mocha spiciness. The fruit on the palate has a richness and density that is supported by substantial levels of tannins. A roasted heavy toast oaken finish lingers for an extended period.”

What I thought: Time is tight. (and so am I) Good wine. Rich and flavorful but you have to like full bodied reds, (even immature ones) I have never thought of the term the maker used “roasted” but that actually does indicate a savor you can imagine. Serve proudly in the evenings to friends who like their red meat right off the grille! If your wife will let you eat red meats. I’ve quit the “chill for 30 minutes” thing I read and tested. I just let it breathe and get it to room temperature. Besides, with the thermostat down where it is, the darn bottle’s pretty chilly already. Do you think that’s why all my friends stand over the heating vent when they visit?
